The tile trade is one of the few skilled careers that can't be outsourced or automated. Every custom shower, backsplash, and floor is built by hand, on site, by someone who knows what they're doing. If you take pride in your work and want to build a real future in a trade, we'd like to hear from you.
Who We Are
Batista Tile has completed 1,000+ tile projects across Cape Cod since 2018. We work with the region's builders, general contractors, and homeowners on high-end custom installations — large-format porcelain, curbless showers, mitered corners, heated floors, and detailed feature work. We're a small, tight crew that does things the right way, and we're growing.
Roles We Hire
Lead Tile Installer / Tile Setter. For experienced setters who can run a job: substrate prep, waterproofing, layout, and finished tile work to a high standard. You'll work on premium custom projects and help set the pace and quality of the crew.
Tile Installer. For people with some tile or construction experience who are ready to take on more responsibility and grow toward running their own jobs.
Apprentice / Helper. No tile experience required. If you're reliable, hardworking, and eager to learn a trade, we'll train you from the ground up — mixing, prep, layout, cutting, and setting — while you earn.
Why Work at Batista Tile

What We Look For
Reliability comes first — showing up on time, every day, ready to work. Beyond that: attention to detail, a willingness to learn our methods, a clean and professional presence on the jobsite, and pride in finished work. A valid driver's license and dependable transportation are important. Tile experience is required for lead installer roles and optional for apprentices and helpers.
Is Tile a Good Career?
It's one of the best-kept secrets in the trades. Skilled tile setters are in short supply and high demand, the work can't be shipped overseas, and experienced installers earn a strong living. Massachusetts ranks among the top-paying states in the country for tile and stone setters. Start as an apprentice, learn the craft, and your earning potential climbs every year.
